'We take photographs as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone' - Katie Thurmes

Level 3 photography student, Brook Dawson started taking photos in 2018 on and around the farm she lives on. 

She is a country girl at heart and loves being outdoors. 

She takes both landscapes and portrait photos, but mainly landscapes.

"I love taking photos of animals and landscapes, it is where I feel at home"

"Photography is a comfort zone for me but also pushes me out of my comfort zone due to the fact of taking portrait photos and taking photos out in public."

Brook is a very bubbly and outgoing person.

She loves working in black and white because she thinks it shows a more in depth sense of the image and that colour distracts the eye from the meaning of the image. "When you photograph in colour you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph in B&W, you photograph their souls"- Ted Grant
